So history is one of our favorite subjects. I love finding great books to help introduce figures from history to our daughter. The Church History ABC’s by Stephen Nichols & Ned Bustard has been a great addition to our library. We absolutely love it!

The book is roughly the same width as the Reformation ABC’s book but it’s about double the height! So it’s pretty big!

This book covers all of church history. You and your little ones will get to learn and talk about church fathers, missionaries, influential royals who helped to further the Reformation, and much more!

It’s set up in the same format as the The Reformation ABC’s with one person per letter. But this book has a wonderful added feature at the back! There you will find more additional information about each person! This has been great for digging into those individuals in the book that peaked our daughters interest as well as just general history lessons. This back section also comes in handy for explanations about the symbols you’ll see drawn with different people throughout the book. I personally found this extremely interesting! Some of the highlights for us were learning about Jonathan Edwards & Lady Jane Grey.

We also found it extremely helpful to see all of the people we learned about laid out in chronological order at the back of the book. It really helped us see who were contemporaries of each other and that was pretty neat!

We highly recommend the ABC’s of Church History! And if you’re curious about Stephen Nichols other book like this about the Reformation you can check out our review of it here.
