We have loved It’s Designed to Do What it Does Do for several years now. It’s a super cute book! We actually picked it up at the Creation Museum when we visited for the first time (you can check out our videos from that visit here). Our daughter saw the googly eyes and immediately pointed to it. Since we were there celebrating her birthday, we happily agreed. It became an instant favorite and has remained one of her favorite books ever since.

The book is based on a little rhyme Ken Ham and Buddy Davis use when doing some of their presentations to kids about animals and God’s creation. The book itself is a board book style with fun googly eyes and facts about different animals (even dinosaurs). One of our favorite parts is the “draw along with Buddy” box on each page where you learn how to draw an animal. When you get to the page after the drawing is finished, that animal is what is talked about! So fun and interactive!

It also explains our need for a Savior and the good news rather well for a children’s book. It is definitely geared toward younger children, but it a fun little book!

It’s Designed to Do What it Does Do is one of our favorites and a book I give to friends for baby shower and birthday gifts often. I HIGHLY recommend this book. Be prepared though, because the rhyme is catchy 😉 You and the kids will be able to say it without thinking about it by the time you’ve finished the book! And if we are going to have rhymes said around the house, I definitely prefer It’s designed to do what it does do over baby shark anyway 😅
