Today, we are reviewing a wonderful little book called Creation Sings by Carine MacKenzie. It was a gift given to our daughter this past Christmas and we were really excited to dive in!

We have one other book by Carine MacKenzie—Christmas Story: The Bible
Version
—that we loved and have reviewed. Creation Sings follows a similar format by breaking it up into numbered sections. We really love that because it’s easy enough to read in one sitting if you would like, but you could also take your time and do one section a day and have deeper discussions.

Each section discusses an element of creation week. It then connects what was created that day to at least one Old Testament account and then to Christ. It also includes a psalm relating to creation with each section.

We really loved seeing all of the connections throughout Scripture and how she always pointed to Christ. We found the connections very helpful for discussion with our daughter and also for personal meditation on God’s Word and how the entire Bible is one narrative pointing to Christ!

The final section of the book talks about Salvation—why we need it, who our Savior is, as well as many other elements relating to salvation. It’s a wonderful way to close the book and give parents the opportunity to really talk to their kids about Jesus and our need for a Savior.

So far, we are really loving the books we have picked up by Carine MacKenzie! We recommend both Creation Sings and Christmas Story: The Bible
Version
! We are looking forward to finding more of her books and giving them a read as well!
